LV= SOS KIT AID SHORTLISTED FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD!
LV= SOS Kit Aid is delighted to announce that it has been selected on a shortlist of three for a Community Environmental Award to be awarded at the Savoy Hotel, London on Thursday 12 May by the prestigious environmental website www.letsrecycle.com. Apart from providing youngsters home and abroad with cricket and rugby kit to help them play sport, we are delighted with the environmental aspects of what we do. Together with all our wonderful SOS collectors/ supporters/sponsors we have saved over 75,000 kgs of quality kit from being thrown needlessly into scarce UK landfill sites and saved over 300 tonnes of CO2 emissions by new kit not having to be manufactured because of our recycled kit. Whether we win or not we are delighted to receive recognition in the environmental world. The LV= SOS model would work just as well in other sports and in other rich countries with spare kit.
